Minutes 10.04.12

The meeting was called to order by President, Bill G. There were 17 members and no guests present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

Old business:A report was given by the committee looking into a projector for the use of the club. They looked into several models, and it was decided to pursue a Dell LED model. One of the members who works for Dell will work with the committee to purchase one from Dell. A motion was made and seconded to limit the amount spent for the projector to $500. The motion passed unanimously.

A reminder was given about the December Winterfest Program put on by the library. All members were encouraged to participate. The program was a success last year.

The Christmas dinner committee reported there were three places from which to make a choice. After discussion, a vote was taken between two places, and the majority voted for Cannoli Joe’s Italian Restaurant. The dinner will be on December 6th.

A reminder was given to the ones who are interested in serving as an officer for the club during the coming year to make your interest known to the nominating committee before the next meeting.

New business: There was no new business.

Program:The program planned for this month was cancelled. Mike M presented a discussion on fake trade dollars and some Irish coins. Christian M. presented some thoughts on the way to choose the proper grading company and reasons for choosing each company.

Door Prizes:The door prizes were won by John E. and James A.
